The first chart shows just how big the problem is. Nearly half of the people surveyed by SimpleTexting revealed that they do text while driving, thereby breaking the law.

It seems as though many people simply just aren’t scared enough. They know that the law is pretty lenient on this sort of thing, and they believe that texting isn’t such a dangerous activity.

In addition, we live in such a connected world nowadays, with smartphones and social media being of such importance, that people constantly feel the need to check their messages and stay in touch with their friends and followers.
